What cookies are
Cookies and similar storage are small pieces of data a site can keep in your browser so a choice or a session can be remembered. This hub uses very little of that machinery.
Essential cookies and storage
After you choose Accept or Reject on the banner, we write a brand-prefixed localStorage key named webworkcore_cookie_consent. That record is essential to the banner’s job: it stops the panel returning on every page load. It does not identify you to a server by itself. Rejecting still stores the word “rejected” so navigation, reading pages, and telephone links continue to work.
Analytics cookies
If you accept, we may later enable a simple privacy-respecting analytics cookie to count page views for the journal and service pages. If you reject, analytics cookies are not set. At launch, no analytics cookie is required for the site to function.
Cookie table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| webworkcore_cookie_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected the banner | Until you clear site data | Web Work Core (localStorage on your device) |
| Optional analytics identifier (only if accepted and later enabled) | Counts visits to reading pages without collecting form fields | Up to 12 months | Web Work Core or a named analytics host announced on this page before use |
Third-party cookies
Google Fonts and Unsplash may set their own cookies when fonts or photographs load. We do not control those cookies. Linked sites such as Veve set cookies under their own policies after you navigate away.
How to disable cookies
Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and site data for webworkcore.click. You can also choose Reject on the banner. Clearing storage will make the banner appear again.
Impact of disabling cookies
Rejecting or blocking storage does not hide the comics journal, service pages, or contact details. The banner may reappear if the essential record cannot be saved. Embedded third-party media, if added later, might fail; this site currently has none.
